Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Cardiovascular Technologist to join our team at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center. As a Cardiac Catheterization Technician, you will play a critical role in assisting with the insertion of catheters into the heart and measuring and administering special fluids. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our EP lab equipment and providing exceptional patient care.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Transfer stable patients to recovery rooms following the completion of procedures.
  • Assist with the cleaning, maintenance, setup, and testing of EP lab equipment.
  • Answer questions from patients and family members prior to the procedure.
  • Monitor EKG readouts and report any irregularities to the doctor.
  • Inspect and test EKG equipment prior to patient procedures.
  • Prepare patients for procedures (cleaning, shaving, etc.).
  • Anesthetize the area of insertion for angioplasties.

Education & Experience Requirements:
  • Associate's Degree.
  • Telemetry Certification or ability to obtain certification.
  • One year of experience as a Cardiac Catheterization Technician.
  • Current AHA BLS.
