Yellow Iron Mechanic

At Kraton, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Yellow Iron Mechanic to join our team. As a Yellow Iron Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing all Callan owned beach equipment, ensuring optimal efficiency and safety.

• Maintain and repair all Callan owned beach equipment, including excavators, front end loaders, and D6T bull dozers.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues with heavy equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, filter replacements, and tire rotations.
• Conduct safety inspections and ensure all equipment is in good working condition.
• Collaborate with the Vessel Manager to develop and implement maintenance schedules and programs.

• 5+ years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance and repair.
• Certification in Caterpillar machines or similar certifications.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and tools.

• Experience with hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
