We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Deli Sales Associate to join our team at WEIS LLC. As a key member of our deli department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and ensuring the smooth operation of our deli services.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and resolving concerns in a polite and professional manner
* Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the deli department, by adhering to company cleaning schedules and guidelines
* Ensure the freshness and condition of merchandise in display cases, including proper rotation and handling of products
* Operate slicing equipment to provide meats and cheeses based on customer preferences, and package items with accurate pricing and labeling
* Prepare ready-to-eat foods to individual customer orders, and assist with platter preparation and other deli-related tasks
* Adhere to company recipes and safety policies when preparing food, and maintain a safe and clean working environment
* May operate cash register and handle customer transactions, following company policies and procedures
* Assist with inventory control, including minimizing losses and maintaining accurate logs
* May assist with receiving, unloading, and storing deliveries, and participate in other departmental tasks as needed

Requirements

* High school diploma or equivalent required
* No prior experience necessary, but a willingness to learn and grow with our company
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a positive attitude
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time
