As an Infection Prevention Specialist, you will play a vital role in our dedicated team, working under direct supervision to implement infection prevention programs and practices tailored to our specific settings and populations served.
Key Responsibilities- Implement infection prevention programs and practices specific to the practice settings and populations served.
- Apply basic knowledge of the risk assessment concept and its importance to the infection prevention program.
- Assist in designing and presenting educational programs to enhance infection prevention efforts.
- Apply standard methods and surveillance criteria for identifying healthcare-associated infections; ensure patient care and other activities comply with OSHA, Public Health, CDC, and applicable industry standards and regulations.
- Experience working in healthcare settings, such as infection prevention, epidemiology/public health, inpatient, post-acute, or ambulatory settings.
- Microbiology or laboratory background.
- Preferred certifications: A-IPC, CIC, LTC-CIP.
