**Critical Care Physician Role**
As a Critical Care Physician at South Shore Health, you will provide leadership to the Critical Care Department, ensuring compliance with SSH bylaws, Medical Staff bylaws, and applicable laws. Key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring clinical care standards integrity and directing care in the unit(s).
- Assisting with Performance Improvement activities and coordinating with interfacing departments.
- Developing a practice presence and delivering high-quality care.
- Monitoring and improving the quality of medical care.
- Ensuring adherence to patient admission and discharge criteria.
- Harmonizing medical clinical operations with hospital operations.
- Participating in utilization review and data analysis.
- Practicing critical care in a financially prudent manner.
Required Qualifications:
- Medical School Degree
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine
- Minimum 750 hours of direct patient care in a critical care unit
- Completion of the Society of Critical Care Medicine's Fundamental Critical Care Support Course
- Credentialed by South Shore Hospital medical staff
Work Schedule:
- Day and Night shift work (7a-7p or 7p-7a)
