Job Title: Registered Nurse, Medical Surgical

Job Summary:

Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Med/Surg Department at Baptist South. As a Registered Nurse, you will provide care to patients requiring treatment of any medical, surgical, or other condition. You will be responsible for embracing and upholding the hospital mission statement, educating patients and families to their disease process and plan of care, interacting with physicians and other departments within the hospital, coordinating care provided by ancillary services, acting as the patient advocate, and participating in staff meetings and other unit activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality patient care, ensuring the physical, spiritual, and emotional needs of patients and their families are met.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices and evidence-based care.
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment, promoting a culture of excellence and patient-centered care.

Requirements:

  • Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Florida
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Preferred: Certified Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
