Key Responsibilities

  • Assess and assist in meeting the psychosocial and spiritual needs of patients, families, and significant others, providing individual, family, and group services to improve functioning and reduce psychosocial and spiritual problems.
  • Participate in patient care management, including treatment and discharge planning, and serve as a liaison between patients, families, and community agencies.
  • Maintain competency and social work license, attending educational programs as needed, and stay up-to-date on public assistance programs, community resources, and good interviewing techniques and counseling skills.
  • Collaborate with community partners and participate in Performance Improvement initiatives within the Social Services Department.
  • Prepare statistical reports and special studies as assigned, and perform other related duties as requested.

Requirements

  • Current ND licensure in Social Work and a professional level of knowledge acquired through a college bachelor's degree program.
  • A minimum of 12 to 18 months of Social Service experience.
  • Punctual and regular attendance is an essential responsibility of each employee at JRMC.
