Ready Mix Truck Driver Position in Central Louisiana

Come and drive with us as a Ready Mix Truck Driver, transporting ready mix concrete to construction projects across Central Louisiana. This skilled position involves the safe and efficient operation of our mixer trucks, ensuring timely deliveries to various sites.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform daily pre/post trip inspections and maintain accurate records in compliance with Department of Transportation guidelines.
* Load and unload equipment safely, handling materials with care.
* Monitor vital gauges during vehicle operation, guaranteeing smooth transportation processes.
* Keep detailed vehicle mileage logs for record-keeping purposes.
* Adhere to all company policies and procedures, prioritizing a safe working environment.
* Comply with applicable laws and follow dispatch instructions from supervisors.
* Ensure high-quality product delivery, addressing any issues promptly.
Qualifications:
* A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required for this role.
* Two years of experience driving mixer trucks are preferred, but not mandatory.
* A valid driver's license and CDL A or B license are necessary for this position.
Work Requirements:
* Be at least 18 years old to apply.
* Pass a DOT physical examination, drug screening, and background check.
* Possess a valid DOT medical card for added safety.
* Strict adherence to safety regulations outlined in the Employee Handbook.
* Willingness to work collaboratively with colleagues and assist with tasks as needed.
* Maintain a professional demeanor when interacting with coworkers, supervisors, and the general public.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
* Familiarity with mixer truck operations and related equipment.
* Basic mathematical skills for maintaining time and material records and reading project documents.
* Ability to operate equipment efficiently under varying conditions.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration.
* Capacity to work independently with attention to detail and in a team setting.
Salary and Benefits:
As a Ready Mix Truck Driver with Texas Materials, you can expect a competitive salary of approximately $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
