Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team at Northwell Health. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for operating X-ray equipment to produce high-quality radiographs of patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Imaging and Quality Control
    • Operate X-ray equipment to produce radiographs of designated body parts.
    • Perform quality control checks to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Patient Care and Communication
    • Translate medical procedures into layman's terms to alleviate patient anxiety.
    • Position patients for radiographs according to departmental standards.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping
    • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient information and radiograph results.
  • Equipment Maintenance and Operations
    • Operate equipment for transferring computed images to film and archival of disc memory to tape.
    • Utilize film markers and ensure images are properly labeled.
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Key in patient history data and other relevant information.
    • Arrange and adjust immobilization and supportive devices for patients.
Requirements
  • Vocational or Technical school Diploma required.
  • Current License to practice as a Radiologist in New York State, and Current ARRT Radiology registration required.
  • 1-3 years of technical experience, required.
