Chief Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Engineer to join our team at Platinum Companies. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing all engineering and maintenance operations of the hotel, ensuring that all facilities and equipment are properly maintained and functioning at optimal levels.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and supervise maintenance operations to ensure compliance with Platinum Management Services, LLC. and Brand standards.
• Comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and ordinances as they apply to the property, guests, and associates.
• Develop and implement effective maintenance schedules and procedures to ensure the efficient operation of all facilities and equipment.
• Recruit, train, and develop department personnel to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
• Collaborate with management to establish priorities for total property maintenance needs and develop budgets to achieve or exceed budget goals.
• Perform on-call emergency service as required and maintain accurate logs and records as needed.
• Ensure that all safety and emergency procedures and policies are adhered to, including evacuation, first aid, and property inventory control.
• Manage department controllable expenses to achieve or exceed budget goals.

Requirements:

• Excellent verbal and communication skills required.
• Ability to attend and complete company and Brand training.
• Self-starter with effective leadership skills.
• Proficient in English; bi-lingual a plus.
• Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time and walk distances frequently.
• Proficient with current technologies and software, including business applications.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule and be organized in a fast-paced team environment.
• Outgoing personality and ability to maintain professionalism at all times.
• HVAC, plumbing, and electrical certification preferred.
• Previous experience in engineering, maintenance, or related professional area required.
• High School Diploma required; College Degree preferred.
