Job Overview

The University of Cincinnati College of Medicine is seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our team in the Division of Cardiovascular Health & Disease. As a key member of our electrophysiology ambulatory team, you will provide exceptional patient care and contribute to the development of cutting-edge procedures and research that improve the health and clinical care of patients.

Essential Functions
  • Practice clinical/Patient Care according to professional practice standards and institutional policy/procedure.
  • Intake assessment/triage/admission, including pertinent history, physical, psychosocial, and cultural dimensions, is performed and documented according to policy.
  • Ongoing assessment, when appropriate, is performed and documented according to policy.
  • Assessment demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development, and identification of the patient's needs as they relate to a development level and cultural dimensions.
  • Interpretation of the patient's condition and abnormal findings is communicated in a timely manner to the physician and all appropriate members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
  • May assist EP Cardiologist in diagnostic procedures.
  • Participates in hospital and provider performance improvement activities.
Required Education

A Master's Degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program is required.

Required Trainings/Certifications
  • Active Ohio APRN license with prescriptive authority.
  • Active Board Certification in appropriate nursing specialty.
  • BLS Certification.
Required Experience
  • Three (3) years nursing experience.
  • Additional related work experience may be required depending on specialty/sub-specialty.
