Job Opportunity: Adjunct Instructor of Voice

Coahoma Community College is seeking a qualified candidate to teach applied/individual voice classes to freshmen and sophomore students. The successful candidate will have a Master's degree and strong teaching experience in classical and musical theatre. Music performance skills and pedagogy are also essential.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach applied/individual voice classes to freshmen and sophomore students.
  • Prepare students for student recitals and final jury examinations at the end of each semester.
  • Provide a quality learning experience for all students in accordance with their needs and abilities while maintaining the basic integrity of the course's standards and objectives.
  • State clear objectives and criteria in the course syllabus; maintain an accurate grade book and attendance record.
Qualifications:
  • Masters degree in a relevant field.
  • Strong teaching experience in classical and musical theatre.
  • Music performance skills and pedagogy.

We prefer candidates with good accompaniment skills, but it is not a requirement.
