We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Head Coach for Girls Track and Field to join our team at Madison Metropolitan School District. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the training and development of our student-athletes, as well as contributing to the overall success of our track and field program.
Key Responsibilities- Team Management: Oversee the training and development of student-athletes, including the creation of training plans and the implementation of team policies.
- Event Management: Oversee the running of specific events at home games, including planning and coordination.
- Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with parents, staff, and student-athletes.
- Program Development: Contribute to the development and implementation of a progressive conditioning and developmental gymnastics program.
- Coaching: Attend and coach at all practices and meets, providing feedback and guidance to student-athletes.
- Team Support: Assist other coaches in monitoring team members' practice attendance, school attendance, meet attendance, and grades.
- Qualifications: The successful candidate will possess a strong gymnastics background, with competitive experience at the high school level. They will also have demonstrated ability to provide positive development and motivation of student-athletes, as well as strong organizational and communication skills.
- Education: A valid teaching license is preferred, but not required.
- Certifications: Current certification in CPR/AED is required, and the ability to obtain certification in a national certifying organization is necessary.
- Experience: The successful candidate will have a strong gymnastics background, with competitive experience at the high school level.
The job will require the ability to work in evenings and weekends, and will involve standing for extended periods of time while coaching at practices and games.
