Building Security Officer

Job Summary:

Hire Velocity is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Building Security Guard to join our team. As a Building Security Guard, you will be responsible for maintaining the safety, security, and control of our facilities at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Control access to the facility; verify identification and entrance authorization
  • Monitor CCTV systems for any suspicious activity near the facility
  • Alert management of any suspicious activity and notify emergency services, if necessary
  • Maintain radio communication with truck crews throughout the day
  • Scan personnel with metal detectors
  • Complete daily reports
  • Cross-train and perform other duties as assigned
  • Guard liability and assets

Additional Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as an armed guard or military experience or protective services experience
  • Minimum of 21 years of age
  • A valid firearms permit or ability to pass applicable firearms licensing requirements
  • A valid guard card or ability to obtain a guard card or any other required licenses
  • Able to lift at least 5 pounds
