Job Summary:

Cheshire Public Schools is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Food and Nutrition team as a Kitchen Assistant. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and contribute to the success of our school cafeteria.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the overall day-to-day operations of the Food and Nutrition Program to ensure a successful school cafeteria.
  • Cook, prepare, serve, and store food while following all safety and sanitation procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with the Kitchen Manager, Operations Manager, and Director of Food and Nutrition Services to achieve program goals.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High School education or equivalent.
  • Qualified Food Operator Sanitation Certification preferred.
  • Food Service experience preferred.

Working Conditions:

This is a part-time position with 5 hours of work per day. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong attention to detail and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
