Job Title: Public Health Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Public Health Specialist to join our team in the Southwest Region of New Mexico. As a Public Health Specialist, you will work closely with Tuberculosis (TB) public health nurses to provide quality services to clients and promote health and wellness in our communities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist TB nurses with client-related tasks, including directly observed therapy (DOT), case management, home visiting, and incentive support.
  • Work with TB staff to promote an effective work environment and strive for continuous improvement of TB services.
  • Use health promotion skills to act as a TB resource for the community.
  • Collaborate with co-workers in the TB and Public Health programs throughout the Southwest Region.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Public Health or Education and two (2) years of experience in a health-related field.
  • Excellent customer service skills, multitasking abilities, and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
  • Valid Driver's License and Defensive Driving Course Certificate from the State of New Mexico.
