We are seeking a highly skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team at West Pico Terrace Healthcare & Wellness Center. As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care and support activities that promote outstanding outcomes in the therapy department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement treatment programs to maximize speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing abilities in patients with medically based speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
  • Evaluate and treat patients, communicate with families, physicians, and other interdisciplinary team members, and document services in medical records.
  • Contribute to professional development of self and others, enhance interdisciplinary team through professional skills and knowledge, and demonstrate safe working practices.
  • Provide patient treatments that meet patient needs, utilize current treatment knowledge in accordance with facility clinical procedures, and communicate with supervisor and other health team members regarding patient progress, problems, and plans.
  • Supervise Clinical Fellow and other SLPs in direct patient care and patient-related activities, and write accurate, complete, and clear documentation in accordance with regulatory, licensing, payer, and accrediting requirements.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited SLP program.
  • 2-3 years experience in a skilled nursing facility rehab environment or equivalent preferred.
  • Speech-Language Pathologist Certificate of Clinical Competence, current CPR certification, and California Speech-Language Pathology license or license candidate under state's regulations.
Working Conditions

The Speech-Language Pathologist will spend approximately 60-80% of time stooping, and reaching while working with therapy patients. Must be able to perform CPR, if required.
