Job Summary

Bay State Community Services is seeking a highly skilled Security Specialist to join our team at the Boston Community Justice Support Center. As a Security Specialist, you will play a critical role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our participants and staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide security for the Center, ensuring the safety of participants and staff.
  • Conduct regular patrols of the interior and exterior of the Center.
  • Confiscate and securely store contraband.
  • Ensure that center participants remain in the center at all times that they are required to be at the center or involved with center activities.
  • Maintain a safe environment at the center, resolving conflicts as necessary.

Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Criminal Justice, Counseling, Human Services, Psychology, Social Work, or related field with at least 1 year of experience.
  • High School Diploma with five (5) years of security/safety experience.
  • Valid Driver's License required.
  • Adequate Background checks (including CORI/SORI) and reference check as required by program.
