Job Summary

Aveanna Healthcare is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality, one-on-one care to a teenager patient in the St. Petersburg area. As a Private Duty Nurse, you will work closely with our patient and their family to develop and implement a personalized care plan that meets their unique needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement a physician-prescribed plan of care to ensure the patient's health and well-being
  • Conduct regular patient assessments and coordinate care with the healthcare team
  • Administer prescribed medications, treatments, and therapies as ordered by the physician
  • Document care provided in a timely and compliant manner
  • Provide health education and training to family members to promote patient independence
  • Communicate effectively with the patient, family, and healthcare team to address concerns and changes in the patient's condition
Requirements
  • Active, unencumbered RN license in the state of practice
  • Current CPR certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
  • TB skin test (current within the last 12 months)
  • At least six months of prior hands-on nursing experience (preferred but not required)
  • Reliable transportation
