The Houston Journal of Health Law & Policy is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Housekeeping Professional to join our team. As a key member of our housekeeping staff, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our guest rooms and public areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clean and service assigned guest rooms and/or public areas in a timely and organized manner, adhering to our high standards of quality and cleanliness.
  • Replenish guest rooms and baths with amenities, supplies, and linen in accordance with our brand standards.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests, and report any guest complaints or requests to the appropriate departments.
  • Report any requests for repairs to the Lead, Supervisor, or Maintenance Department in accordance with our hotel procedures.
  • Maintain linen carts and supplies in a neat and organized manner, adhering to our hotel standards.
  • Report lost and found articles to the Supervisor.
  • Maintain the security of equipment, keys, and supplies issued each day.
  • Maintain a professional, neat, and organized appearance, adhering to our hotel and brand standards.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Ability to read, write, add, subtract, and follow oral and/or basic written instructions, typically acquired through 9 to 11 years of formal schooling.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of directly job-related experience.

Qualifications

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, and a minimum of one year of experience in a related field. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
