About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Anesthesia Technician to join our team at UofL Health Jewish Hospital, Operating Room. As a key member of our surgical services department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our anesthesia equipment and supplies.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist anesthesia residents, Certified Nurse Anesthetists, and physicians in maintaining proper anesthesia supplies and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair anesthesia equipment, including machines, video towers, and monitoring devices.
  • Work collaboratively with residents, physicians, nurses, and materials management to provide cost-effective supplies and equipment.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Broad knowledge of medical terminology and pharmacology.
  • Knowledge of sterilization techniques.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • One year's experience in a hospital setting, preferably in the operating room.
  • Graduate of an anesthesia technician program.
  • Anesthesia tech or EMT experience.
