We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Burn Med Surg team at Doctors Hospital of Augusta. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the overall success of our department.
Responsibilities- Assess patient condition during admission and during each shift as scheduled and/or as needed, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
- Engage in evidence-based best practices that enhance the patient experience, including SAFETY rounding, communication fundamentals/AIDET, Teach-Back, Narrating Care, etc.
- Ensure patients, physicians, and colleagues have a clear understanding of all communications, and escalate care concerns appropriately.
- Collaborate with medical providers to provide individualized, comprehensive, and compassionate care.
- Must be a graduate from an accredited school of Nursing: Associate's Degree in Nursing or higher is required.
- A current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider is required.
- A current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Health Care Provider is preferred and required to be obtained within 6 months of hire/transfer date.
- Prior acute care Registered Nurse experience is preferred.
