- Respond to emergency calls and provide assistance as needed.
- Conduct investigations and gather evidence to support incident reports.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with hospital staff, patients, and visitors.
- Participate in training and professional development to stay up-to-date on best practices and industry standards.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid Ohio driver's license required.
- Completion of Ohio Peace Officer Training Commission police academy within 3 months of hire.
- Ability to obtain an Ohio Peace Officer Training Commission certificate upon hire.
- Ability to acquire and maintain Secretary of State Police Commission certification.
- Ability to successfully complete annual OPOTA firearms qualification course.
- Ability to obtain CPR certification upon hire.
- Knowledge of applicable rules, regulations, policies, and laws that address public safety in the healthcare setting.
- Previous experience in law enforcement or a related field.
