About the Role

Kettering Health is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Security Officer II to join our team. As a Security Officer II, you will play a critical role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our patients, visitors, and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patrol assigned areas to prevent and detect crime, and to enforce laws and regulations.
  • Respond to emergency calls and provide assistance as needed.
  • Conduct investigations and gather evidence to support incident reports.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with hospital staff, patients, and visitors.
  • Participate in training and professional development to stay up-to-date on best practices and industry standards.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid Ohio driver's license required.
  • Completion of Ohio Peace Officer Training Commission police academy within 3 months of hire.
  • Ability to obtain an Ohio Peace Officer Training Commission certificate upon hire.
  • Ability to acquire and maintain Secretary of State Police Commission certification.
  • Ability to successfully complete annual OPOTA firearms qualification course.
  • Ability to obtain CPR certification upon hire.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of applicable rules, regulations, policies, and laws that address public safety in the healthcare setting.
  • Previous experience in law enforcement or a related field.
