Position Overview: The Grants Management Analyst engages in high-level professional activities related to federal, state, and governmental grant acquisition, administration, and oversight. This role is pivotal in offering management support for the development, submission, and post-award management of regulatory programmatic deliverables associated with government grants, requiring independent judgment and initiative.

Key Responsibilities:

Grant Acquisition:
  • Conducts thorough research and evaluation to identify a wide range of funding opportunities aimed at maximizing federal and state financial support for health center initiatives and operations.
  • Develops high-quality proposals, narratives, applications, and supporting documentation in alignment with all organizational policies and the stipulations of funding agencies.
  • Generates revenue for health center programs through the timely submission of well-researched, clearly articulated, and thoroughly documented grant proposals.
  • Provides leadership in crafting compelling written materials to enhance the health center's positioning for federal and state funding opportunities.
Grant Administration:
  • Independently manages HRSA programmatic deliverables through the Electronic Handbook.
  • Maintains and updates Sage for all grants (active, pending, declined, not pursued, and opportunities), ensuring all documentation and relevant information are current.
  • Tracks and reports on grant deliverables weekly, ensuring satisfactory progress on each grant.
  • Maintains Sage for active federal/state grant reporting requirements and other deliverables.
Grant Oversight:
  • Acts as a liaison to all funding agencies.
  • Ensures that grant project directors and stakeholders are aligned with grant deliverables, including reporting requirements, in collaboration with the grant accountant.
  • Develops and updates the overall grants management and project management plan for each proposal/application, facilitating communication regarding grant schedules and obtaining necessary information from stakeholders for timely reporting.
  • Participates in departmental responsibilities, including strategic planning, operational plan implementation, and the formulation of policies and procedures related to proposal development and post-award compliance.
  • Maintains a grants dashboard to monitor received, pending, and declined awards, as well as key dates for contacting funders, submitting proposals, and preparing management reports.
  • Manages and audits grant deliverables, ensuring compliance with all requirements.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in Health Systems Administration, Health Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, English, Public Administration, Public Affairs, Political Science, or a related field required.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in grant writing, administration, or related development/fundraising activities preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a federally qualified health center setting preferred.
Desired Competencies:

  • Strong understanding of the grant lifecycle, including acquisition, writing, and management processes.

  • Proficiency in tracking and managing programmatic and regulatory reporting requirements.

  • High ethical standards capable of handling confidential and financial information.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
Language Proficiency: College-level English skills.
