Job Summary:

As a Nurse Manager-L&D at Kaiser Permanente, you will oversee the day-to-day clinical operations of the unit, ensuring the highest quality of care is provided while meeting federal, state, and local regulatory requirements. This role involves supervising a team of nurses, managing budgets, and implementing quality improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement action plans to improve staff development and patient care.
  • Monitor the allocation and utilization of personnel to ensure optimal patient care and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Supervise daily unit operations, including human resources management, department safety programs, and risk management.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to achieve optimal patient care across the continuum.
  • Investigate and resolve patient/family member concerns regarding patient care.
Requirements:
  • Minimum two (2) years of nursing experience required.
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience as charge nurse, preceptor, quality improvement champion, or other related leadership experience.
  • Graduate of accredited school of nursing. High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) required.
  • Registered Nurse License (California) required at hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • ACLS certification strongly preferred.
  • Bachelors degree in nursing preferred.
