POSITION SUMMARY
The Customer Support Associate I - Temporary is a part-time, non-benefited role focused on delivering exceptional customer service within the Public Works and Utilities Division. This position involves processing walk-in payments and addressing customer inquiries through various channels, including phone and electronic communication.

This role is designed to last for a limited duration, and compensation will be based on the qualifications and experience of the selected candidate.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Customer Support Associate I, you will be responsible for:
  • Performing cashiering duties, including processing payments from customers for various City services.
  • Managing a high volume of customer inquiries and ensuring satisfaction through effective communication.
  • Acting as a representative of the City, maintaining professionalism and courtesy in all interactions.
  • Collaborating with team members to enhance service delivery and address customer needs.
  • Utilizing software applications to manage customer accounts and billing processes efficiently.
QUALIFICATIONS
To be considered for this position, candidates should possess:
  • A high school diploma or GED.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in Utility Billing or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn new software applications.
WORKING CONDITIONS
This role primarily involves office work, requiring the ability to manage tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining effective communication with colleagues and the public.
