Position Summary:
The Civil Structural Engineer plays a pivotal role in executing independent projects that require critical judgment in selecting and applying engineering methodologies. This position is responsible for innovating solutions to complex challenges and preparing or adjusting technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, and calculations, while ensuring compliance with relevant codes and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and oversee new construction, renovation, and enhancement projects for various facilities and utility systems.
  • Adapt and refine traditional engineering methods to develop accurate design calculations, layouts, and specifications that align with project goals.
  • Deliver civil design services, including the creation of civil/site work drawings, structural assessments, and designs for airfield pavements and water/sewer/stormwater systems.
  • Implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for design reviews and project initiation as required.
  • Evaluate and manage facility designs to ensure they meet specified requirements.
  • Adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations, promoting a safe working environment.
  • Conduct construction management tasks, including reviewing construction documents, performing daily inspections, and assisting with project completion lists.
  • Execute additional duties as assigned that align with professional qualifications.
Qualifications:
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering; licensure as a professional engineer is preferred.
  • A minimum of four years of design experience, capable of providing civil design services, including the preparation of civil/site work drawings and structural evaluations.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD 2018 or later, with the ability to create precise and presentable facility and infrastructure plans.
  • Familiarity with military programming regulations and documentation is advantageous.
  • In-depth knowledge of civil/structural design and engineering techniques.
  • Ability to produce designs that are straightforward enough for local contractors to execute while meeting project specifications.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Competence in delivering comprehensive design services, including structural load assessments and site planning.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Project.
