Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Pharmacist Specialist to join our team at Norton Healthcare. This role will provide evidence-based, collaborative patient-centered care to our patients, optimizing medication therapy and championing system-wide strategies to achieve desired clinical outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement programs and guidelines to improve practice and patient outcomes
  • Provide efficient, cost-effective patient-centered care
  • Offer verbal and written consultations on medication therapy
  • Participate in the educational experience of pharmacy residents and students
  • Provide education to physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members
  • Represent the pharmacy department on applicable committees and teams
  • Support and facilitate the quality improvement process
Requirements
  • One of the following: three years of pharmacy experience, completion of a PGY-2 residency in Infectious Diseases, or completion of a concentrated fellowship in a specialized area of practice
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Pharmacist licensure in Kentucky
  • Desirable: Doctorate degree, Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist
