Job Summary

The Associate Chaplain provides spiritual care and support to patients, families, and colleagues through various means, including visitation, crisis intervention, and educational events. This role is part of the Pastoral Care team at Baptist Memorial Health Care Corporation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide routine and referral visitation to patients and families
  • Offer crisis and bereavement care during times of need
  • Participate in educational events and support activities
  • Collaborate with the Pastoral Care team to provide comprehensive care
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, preferably with coursework in Biblical Studies, Pastoral Care, Psychology, Counseling, or Social Work
  • 1-2 years of experience in providing pastoral care, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
