Job Description:

The Assembler uses a variety of hand tools, fixtures, and work instruction to accurately assemble, inspect and pack small, medium, and large injection molded protective cases.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assembly and Inspection: Assembles parts according to verbal and SOP work instructions and documents required information.
  • Quality Control: Performs visual and in-process inspections of parts during the manufacturing process to ensure quality requirements are met; able to determine acceptable and unacceptable parts.
  • Packing and Labeling: Packs completed product into boxes with customized labels to ensure identification and trace ability to customer requirements.
  • Re-Work and Cleaning: Performs re-inspection, re-work, sorting and cleaning of plastic parts, as requested.
  • Task Rotation: Rotates through different tasks on the assembly line.
  • Equipment Operation: Operates auxiliary equipment such as drilling fixtures and pin installation fixtures.
  • Work Area Maintenance: Keeps work area clean and organized.
  • Equipment Storage: Returns all equipment to storage designated area upon work completion.
  • Training and Development: May assist in the training of new Operators.
  • Compliance and Safety: Follows company policies and practices as outlined in the Employee Handbook and/or applicable employment agreement. Follows safety guidelines and procedures in accordance to the job.
  • Additional Duties: Performs additional duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Cross-Training: Willing to be cross trained in different tasks.
  • Task Rotation: Must rotate throughout Manufacturing Cases and Component Molding.
  • Tool Knowledge: Knowledge of and ability to use a variety of hand and power tool.
  • Instruction Following: Ability to follow verbal and/or written instructions.
  • Work Environment: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand for an entire shift and have manual dexterity.
  • Repetitive Tasks: Ability to perform repetitive tasks and follow manufacturing procedures.
  • Safety Culture: Ability to work with a safety-first culture and adhere to all safety requirements at all times.
  • Teamwork: Must be able to effectively work within a team environment.

  • Flexibility: Must be flexible regarding working hours and overtime. Must be able to work overtime on evenings and weekends, with or without advanced notice.
  • Multi-Tasking: Must be able to operate in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
  • Physical Activities: While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be frequently required to execute standard physical activities within the facility areas (i.e. stand, walk, sit, use hands/fingers).
  • Non-Standard Physical Activities: While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be frequently required to execute non-standard physical activities within the facility areas (i.e. climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch).
  • Lifting and Moving: Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
