Job Summary:

This role supports the overall fiscal services department goals of providing timely and accurate financial information to internal and external users, and maintaining effective internal controls over financial processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in specific portions of monthly and year-end financial closing process, including analysis of accounts for assigned cost centers, preparing general journal entries where corrections are needed to properly state period-end balances, and investigating budget variances identified in assigned cost centers.
  • Prepare internal financial statements for certain affiliates (Foundation).
  • Prepare monthly reconciliations for main checking account and accounts payable.
  • Perform analysis and prepare initial baseline budget recommendations during annual budget process.
  • Update fixed assets ledger for asset acquisitions and disposals and maintain reconciliations between the fixed assets ledger and general ledger.
  • Perform financial analysis relative to areas of responsibility as needed.
  • Prepare audit support documentation for assigned portions of annual financial statements.
  • Develop baseline budget data for areas of responsibility.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Bachelor's Degree in Administration with a major in Accounting.
  • At least two years directly related accounting experience.
  • Healthcare industry experience preferred.

Salary may vary based upon, but not limited to: overall experience and qualifications, shift, and location.
