Systems Engineer

The Systems Integration and Test team at Raytheon is seeking a talented Systems Engineer to join our Effectors Center in Tucson, AZ. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for integrating hardware and software, developing test plans and procedures, debugging and evaluating system functions and interfaces, and verifying system requirements in support of final sell-off to the customer.
Key Responsibilities- Support planning and execution of Integration, Verification, or Flight Test activities in our labs, in the field, or at a test range
- Test event support activity may require travel, which is not expected to exceed 15%
- Support qualification of our products
- Support troubleshooting and failure data analyses, including root cause and corrective action processes and advanced use of lab or field test equipment
- Complete and compile detailed performance evaluations, including the use of analysis tools, such as MATLAB
- Prepare and present results in reports and briefings to internal or external stakeholders
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Experience with tools, such as MATLAB or Python, for data analysis and automation
- Experience with troubleshooting technical issues with electronics in an academic or internship setting, including the use of common commercial test equipment (oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, etc.)
- Experience with or exposure to various military platforms for weapons conveyance, such as ships, ground combat systems, fixed and rotary wing aircraft
- Experience with using telemetry data collection equipment to capture real time data and/or real time monitoring
- Experience with electrical schematics, interface control documentation, and communications protocols
- Experience with reading and integrating software routines with hardware/electronics; C/C++/C# preferred
- Experience with instrumentation and collection of large data sets, including the application of scripting or automation to data collection and analysis
