Position Overview:
VSolvit LLC is in search of a Systems Integration Engineer to deliver ongoing engineering and product lifecycle management support for various Force Protection System (FPS) Family of Systems as part of the IBD-SS program.
Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be a proactive individual who will collaborate with our sustaining engineering team to assist the Operations and Logistics division by:
- Documenting existing systems and configurations while ensuring that system updates are meticulously tracked and executed.
- Analyzing product failures in partnership with our fault analysis experts to identify trends and propose engineering solutions.
- Working closely with testing engineers and technical writers to develop comprehensive engineering test plans.
- Maintaining a thorough understanding of engineering processes, standards, and workflows, while collaborating with the Configuration Manager to uphold all system product baselines.

- Adhering to standard working hours and meeting project deadlines.
- Following company policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
- Maintaining regular communication with assigned supervisors.
- Staying focused on assigned tasks, participating in company meetings, and completing additional tasks as required.
Primary Duties:
The role will involve:
- Assisting in the analysis of failed products to enhance sustainment support through viable solutions.
- Documenting current system status and configurations, and preparing engineering change documentation for review.
- Managing daily systems integration and test workflows, overseeing work orders, and translating discrepancy findings into actionable items and system enhancements.
- Developing Engineering Bills of Materials (BOMs) from Technical Data Packages.
- Presenting Engineering Change Proposals to the Change Control Board (CCB).
- Contributing to the creation of engineering test plans and reports.
- Collaborating with IBD-SS team members across engineering, training, logistics, and operational support, as well as government representatives to facilitate operational improvements.
- Addressing obsolescence and diminishing manufacturing sources and material shortages (DMSMS) in conjunction with the logistics team.
- Interfacing with engineers, subject matter experts, and technicians to resolve equipment malfunctions and design issues.
Basic Qualifications:
Applicants should possess:
- A BA/BS degree with 5-8 years of relevant experience (or 12 years of experience in lieu of a degree).
- An active Secret Clearance.
- Experience with PDM PLM tools.
- Quality Assurance/Quality Control experience related to Physical Configuration Audits.
- Familiarity with DoD Systems, engineering requirements, and DoD contracts.
- Exceptional technical writing skills, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Field Bulletins, and Maintenance Plans.
- Experience in preparing Engineering Change Proposals (ECP) and Technical Data Packages (TDP).
- Experience conducting Level of Repair Analysis (LORA) for commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) products.
- Prior experience with Rapiscan and FLIR product lines.
