Key Responsibilities
  • Manage Safety and Health Programs: Develop and implement safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all employees, in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Foster Innovation and Improvement: Identify opportunities for process enhancements and implement changes to increase productivity and quality of our products.
  • Control Costs and Waste: Monitor and minimize waste of materials and other direct and indirect costs.
  • Lead and Direct Department Personnel: Supervise and coach employees to achieve defined goals and objectives.
  • Develop and Maintain Open Communication: Foster open communication within the department and with other departments to ensure seamless collaboration and coordination.
  • Coordinate Maintenance and Repairs: Work closely with maintenance and engineering teams to ensure prompt and proper diagnosis of equipment failures and minimize downtime.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement: Develop and implement continuous improvement programs to optimize equipment and personnel resources, including kaizen events, standard work, and problem-solving initiatives.
  • Meet Quality Standards: Collaborate with Quality Assurance to meet or exceed all quality standards, while ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 requirements.
Requirements
  • 3+ Years of Supervisory Experience: Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, with a strong background in supervising and leading teams.
  • Previous Experience in the Metal Industry: Preferred experience in the metal industry, with a strong understanding of manufacturing tools and equipment.
  • Strong Knowledge of Manufacturing Tools and Equipment: Excellent knowledge of manufacturing tools and equipment, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Experience in Continuous Improvement: Experience in a continuous improvement environment, with a strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and data collection.
  • Excellent Communication and Leadership Skills: Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and coach employees to achieve defined goals.

  • Competitive Compensation: A competitive salary range of $80,000 - $120,000, dependent on qualifications.
