Cook Children's Health Care System is seeking a skilled Building Maintenance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for operating, maintaining, calibrating, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment, controls, utility, and distribution systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate, maintain, calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair equipment, controls, utility, and distribution systems, including plumbing, HVAC, electrical, distribution, and building automation and controls.
- Troubleshoot problems and make needed repairs to systems and equipment.
- Work towards obtaining expert status on at least two systems and obtain state license in a related field.
- Skilled in healthcare/commercial maintenance, building automation, plumbing, electrical, emergency power systems, and computer knowledge.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent with five plus years of experience.
- Technical or college education considered in place of years of experience.
- Universal EPA certifications preferred. State/city license in a related field and healthcare experience preferred.
