Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Nursing Supervisor to join our team at the Arizona Department of Veterans' Services in Yuma. As a Nursing Supervisor, you will provide supervisory and clinical nursing oversight to ensure the highest quality of care for our Veteran patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise nursing staff assigned to the shift, ensuring proper level and quality of care.
  • Complete performance appraisals in a timely manner and provide constructive feedback to staff.
  • Counsel staff and recommend discipline as needed.
  • Oversee and assist with admissions to and discharges from the facility.
  • Make rounds of Veteran areas to ensure proper level and quality of care.
  • Follow up on all Veteran issues and provide direct care as required.
  • Participate in the selection of nursing staff and assist with the planning and delivery of in-service training.
  • Assist in development of policies and procedures and participate in quality assurance audits.
Requirements:
  • Current RN license in the State of Arizona.
  • One or more years of Skilled Nursing Facility or Long-Term Care Experience preferred.
  • Ability to obtain and retain a fingerprint clearance card issued by the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
  • Current CPR card and ability to drive on State business.
