Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with an on-call rotation every four weeks.Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise daily maintenance operations, engaging directly in tasks such as appliance repair, carpentry, masonry, painting, basic electrical work, plumbing, and HVAC.
  • Enhance property aesthetics through effective grounds maintenance, including snow removal, landscaping, and waste management.
  • Conduct monthly inspections of buildings and units to uphold operational standards.
  • Review third-party property assessments to address maintenance issues.
  • Coordinate work schedules for other supervisors and contractors to ensure timely service requests and preventive maintenance.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all maintenance initiatives and capital improvement projects.
  • Solicit contractor bids with the approval of the Property Manager and Regional Maintenance Manager.
  • Participate in on-call duties during emergencies and after-hours situations.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 5-8 years of relevant experience in maintenance.
  • 3-5 years of supervisory experience.
  • General knowledge of electrical systems, plumbing, appliances, and HVAC.
  • Proficient in computer systems, especially Microsoft Office.
  • Outstanding customer service skills.
  • Availability for on-call duties during off-hours for urgent situations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Capability to work effectively with a diverse range of individuals.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Vocational or technical training.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English.
  • CAMT certification.
  • Certifications in HVAC, asbestos, or lead-based paint.
