Key Responsibilities- Inspect, maintain, repair, rebuild, and modify all equipment, facility, or facility ancillary equipment as needed to ensure smooth and efficient operation of production processes.
- Troubleshoot recurring breakdowns for prevention and recommend procedure changes.
- Utilize testing equipment or diagnostic skills to determine the real cause of problems.
- Instruct equipment operators as needed to prevent machine or system damage.
- Perform preventive maintenance to keep equipment in sound working condition.
- Assist with facility repairs and maintenance as needed.
- Maintain thorough documentation of all work performed using maintenance management software.
- Support machine setups and changeovers as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area at all times and follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in an industrial maintenance environment.
- High school diploma or GED required; formal technical training preferred.
- Excellent mechanical aptitude. Must pass in-house mechanical aptitude test(s).
- Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs.
- Knowledge in electrical up to 480 Volt VAC, Allen Bradley and Siemens PLC troubleshooting and repair, lock out-tag out safety procedures, operation of mills, lathes and general machine shop equipment, Mig and Tig welding, plumbing and refrigeration, and thorough understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic troubleshooting and repair.
