Key Responsibilities:

  • Guide a team of developers in the design and architecture of software solutions.
  • Develop, test, and integrate custom JavaScript applications, focusing on creating innovative, scalable, and secure enterprise-level applications.
  • Engage with senior customer management and subject matter experts to align on project goals.
  • Architect and oversee the implementation of scalable, secure Java-based applications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex design, implementation, and performance challenges.
  • Collaborate with the Information Security Organization to ensure all developed solutions comply with security standards.
  • Support the entire development lifecycle, from defining requirements to deploying solutions in production.
  • Consult with project teams and end-users to identify new requirements and areas for enhancement.
  • Assist in the evaluation and adoption of new and emerging technologies, commercial off-the-shelf products, and development tools.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience (8 years of additional work experience may substitute).
  • 8+ years of experience in IT.
  • 4+ years of recent hands-on development experience with technologies such as Angular, React, or Node.
  • 2+ years of recent hands-on Java development experience.
  • 3+ years of experience with SQL in databases like MySQL and/or Postgres.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to foster effective working relationships with development teams and clients.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Familiarity with web applications, SOA, RESTful web services, and JSON format.
  • Proficiency in cloud technologies (AWS preferred), serverless architecture, microservices design, and containerization (Docker/Podman).
  • Knowledge of React, AngularJS, Node, JavaScript, and jQuery.
  • Experience with JDBC, JPA, and/or Hibernate.
  • Familiarity with PL/SQL, T-SQL, PostgreSQL, or PL/pgSQL.
  • Python and Grails experience (a plus).
Additional Information:
  • To meet clearance requirements, candidates must be authorized to work in the US.
  • All candidates will undergo a comprehensive background check, including criminal history, education verification, professional certification verification, previous employment verification, and credit history.
  • Public Trust background investigations may take several weeks and require fingerprinting.
Compensation:

The salary for this position ranges from $115,000 to $170,000 annually, based on experience.
