Job Title: Travel Contract - Radiology Technologist

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team on a travel contract basis. As a Radiology Technologist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic radiographic, CT scan, mammography, bone density, ultrasound, or special procedures according to department protocols.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform diagnostic imaging procedures, including radiography, CT scans, and ultrasound
  • Position patients and equipment, explain procedures, and ensure patient comfort
  • Administer radiopharmaceuticals to obtain clear, usable images
  • Monitor patients during examinations, ensuring their safety and following procedures to prevent unnecessary exposure to radiation
  • Produce diagnostic images, report important information to physicians, and update patient records
  • Organize daily procedure schedules for emergencies and monitor radiographic supplies
  • Perform administrative tasks, such as answering technical questions, scheduling appointments, and offering pre-procedure advice
  • Perform scheduled maintenance and emergency repairs on radiographic equipment
Requirements:
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • National Institutes of Health (NIH)
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) Certification
  • Certified Principal Investigator (CPI) Certification
  • Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
  • The ability to stand for extended periods
  • Strong technical skills
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Passionate about patient care
  • Completion of a fully accredited Radiology Tech program
  • Minimum three years Radiology Tech experience
  • Active unencumbered California state license

  • Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills
  • Participates in relevant continuing education programs
  • Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients
  • Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making, and problem-solving expertise
  • A can-do, team-oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers, and staff throughout the department and hospital
