Job Title: Part-Time/Freelance Full-Stack WordPress Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled Part-Time/Freelance Full-Stack WordPress Developer to join our team at Lone Rock Point. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex WordPress-based applications.

About the Role:

This is a part-time/contractor role that requires a strong background in WordPress development, with a focus on backend development. You will work closely with our project managers and senior developers to ensure that projects are completed on time and to the highest standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop custom solutions using the WordPress framework
  • Oversee and execute the implementation of new feature requests
  • Advise on and support WordPress best practices
  • Work with project managers to help understand the technical aspects of the work and to help estimate effort
  • Review code and pull requests from other developers
  • Set up code repositories and remote development installations
  • Coordinate releases with partner IT groups
  • Help other developers and ask for help from other developers
Requirements:
  • 5+ years' experience working as a backend web developer on production sites
  • 3+ years' experience working on WordPress sites
  • Experience implementing complex WordPress solutions
  • Ability to work remotely with little-to-no supervision
  • Experience writing code with a focus on security and performance
  • Experience working with at least one automated testing framework
  • Demonstrated experience developing on the WordPress platform
  • Thorough understanding of the software development life cycle
  • Experience working in an agency and/or as a contractor
