Bajo la dirección administrativa general del Gerente de Enfermería Clínica, el Supervisor de Enfermería Asistente es responsable de la entrega de servicios de atención al paciente que apoyan el plan estratégico de la organización y logran los objetivos de calidad clínica y de servicio, en una unidad clínica o sitio de atención. Este rol es responsable de la calidad de los servicios clínicos proporcionados, de la competencia y el rendimiento del personal de enfermería, y de diseñar y mantener sistemas que apoyen la función del equipo multidisciplinario y la continuidad de los servicios, trabajando en coordinación con el Gerente de Enfermería Clínica. El Supervisor de Enfermería Asistente también participa activamente en equipos de proyectos organizacionales y grupos de trabajo a nivel organizacional y de unidad.

  1. Ayuda a gestionar y evaluar el sistema de entrega de atención y servicios clínicos en una o más unidades de atención al paciente, contribuyendo a cumplir los objetivos de calidad clínica y de servicio junto con el Gerente de Enfermería.
  2. Asume un papel de liderazgo en la gestión de la calidad de los servicios proporcionados a nivel de unidad.
  3. Administra los recursos humanos y fiscales para cumplir con los objetivos financieros y alcanzar los resultados identificados.
  4. Desarrolla e implementa estrategias de utilización clínica que apoyan los caminos clínicos, la planificación del alta y la gestión de casos.

Calificaciones

Educación y Experiencia

Licencia

  • Licencia actual como Enfermero Registrado (RN) en el Estado de Maryland, o elegible para la licencia debido a acuerdos de estados compactos establecidos a través de la Junta de Enfermería de Maryland, es un requisito.

Educación:

  • Se requiere BSN (Licenciatura en Ciencias de la Enfermería). Se prefiere un título de maestría con cursos de gestión. Se espera que los incumbentes se matriculen en un programa de posgrado acreditado dentro de un año de su empleo y tengan cinco años para completar el grado.

Experiencia:

  • Se requiere tres años de experiencia reciente en una instalación de atención aguda con un año de experiencia reciente en especialidad clínica.
