Position Overview: Landscape Architecture Project Manager

We are seeking a Project Manager to join our Landscape Architecture team in North Carolina. This role involves stepping into a management position with support from senior leadership. You will supervise and mentor staff while continuing your own professional development in project management. Your primary responsibilities will include organizing and directing projects to ensure they are completed successfully within established scope, schedule, and budget.

As a Project Manager, your leadership will be crucial in executing projects effectively. You will manage resources, resolve conflicts, and uphold safety and quality standards, all of which are vital for project success and client satisfaction. Your contributions will play a significant role in the growth and reputation of our North Carolina division.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct supervision and leadership for assigned projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and client expectations.
  • Manage project financials, optimizing resource allocation and budget management to enhance profitability and client satisfaction.
  • Develop project scope, schedule, and budget, integrating them into work plans to improve project execution and efficiency.
  • Identify required resources and delegate responsibilities effectively, fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Address discrepancies in scope, schedule, and budget with the Group Manager and clients, maintaining positive relationships.
  • Review and approve deliverables, ensuring quality standards are met to enhance project outcomes.
  • Contribute to proposal development, leveraging project successes to secure new opportunities.
  • Support the expansion of park and recreation initiatives in North and South Carolina.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in landscape architecture from an accredited program.
  • PLA/RLA certification required.
  • Over 10 years of experience managing land development projects, with a preference for park and recreation or institutional projects.
  • Proficient in site, grading, stormwater, and planting design.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities for efficient decision-making.
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities to inspire and guide team members.
  • Commitment to high ethical standards and professionalism.
  • Customer-focused approach to build long-term client relationships.
  • Networking skills to identify potential clients and business development opportunities.
  • Understanding of the planning and design process, including preparation and organization of project deliverables.
  • Ability to visit construction sites to ensure compliance with plans.
