Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled System Engineer to join our team at Stratum Networks. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure and scalable network infrastructure for our clients in the Department of Defense and Intelligence Community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement event management systems, server operating systems, and agentless monitoring solutions to ensure optimal network performance.
  • Support the extension and scaling of services to private clouds, including infrastructure automation and metric collection.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop knowledge articles, documentation, and work instructions for the Tools Team and tools users.
  • Assist with testing and deploying hotfixes, patches, and new releases of the EM Tools suite.
Requirements
  • Twenty (20) years of experience as a System Engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
  • Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university.
  • Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience in Python, R, JavaScript, or Perl programming, or UNIX scripting.
  • Experience integrating with the OpenText Enterprise Management tools suite.
  • Self-starter with strong attention to detail and proficient in Linux/UNIX commands and Windows Server OS.
Desired Skills
  • Application/SA experience with the OpenText Ops Bridge Suite.
  • Experience with OpenText Application Performance Management (APM).
  • Experience with OpenText Business Process Monitor (BPM).
  • Experience with OpenText OPTIC Data Lake.
  • Experience with OpenText Operations Bridge Reporter (OBR).
  • Experience with operating data analytics apps (Splunk or Elastic ELK).
