Job Summary

The Warehouse Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse, overseeing the receiving, production, and shipping of our products. This position requires a strong leader who can develop and implement policies and procedures, supervise a team of warehouse personnel, and maintain a high level of visibility and access to employees on the warehouse floor.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Supervise all shipping, receiving, and packing room activities, maintaining a high level of visibility and access to employees on the warehouse floor.
  • Lead by example, training, motivating, coaching, rewarding, and disciplining crew members as necessary.
  • Supervise inventory control processes, resolving warehouse-related issues with representatives from other departments.
  • Review, prioritize, and organize all outgoing orders, scheduling equipment maintenance as required.
  • Coordinate with the warehouse manager to manage personnel issues and requests, leading the crew by example by loading trucks and/or performing other duties as necessary.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of all warehouse operations, including safety programs and required safety training for the crew.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management, maintaining an excellent attendance record.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED required, with some advanced education or training necessary to meet competency standards.
  • 6+ years of warehouse operations experience, preferably in industrial, electronics assembly, or Aerospace and Defense distribution disciplines.
  • 6+ years of inventory management experience, including cycle counting and reconciliation, disposition of non-conforming product, and managing shelf-life sensitive items.
  • 4+ years of experience working with distribution software systems, with warehouse management system experience (wireless RF gun) a plus.
  • Experience working with process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, TQM) to drive process efficiencies desired.
  • Strong inventory control skills, demonstrated proficiency in supervising and motivating subordinates, and a commitment to excellence and high standards.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills, and versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities.
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees, proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines, and ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels.
  • Forklift certified or able to become forklift certified, and must comply with all safety requirements.
Physical Requirements

Ability to safely and successfully perform essential job functions in accordance with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.

Ability to maintain regular and timely attendance in accordance with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local regulations.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. when necessary.
