Position Summary: We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our dynamic Engineering team. This role is pivotal in supporting existing production systems while driving enhancements in safety, quality, cost-efficiency, and cycle time. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will lead and manage projects, develop detailed plans to achieve objectives, and oversee the integration of technical activities, including process optimization, equipment upgrades, and material system advancements. This position offers hands-on experience across diverse manufacturing and engineering disciplines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish, implement, and maintain policies and procedures for technical operations within the production facility.
- Identify, design, and execute process enhancements in designated areas utilizing Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Provide ongoing technical support for a 24/7 manufacturing environment in assigned responsibilities.
- Evaluate technology requirements, resource allocations, and timelines to effectively plan project execution.
- Conduct root cause analyses for failure investigations and other analytical tasks, making informed, data-driven decisions.
- Support the non-conformance program and initiate preventive measures.
- Prepare and deliver periodic reports or presentations to management and stakeholders regarding specific projects.
- Design and innovate new equipment for future production systems.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Apply quality standards to meet certification requirements in plant operations.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to develop and validate process modifications and provide technical assistance.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a closely related field.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing and process engineering is preferred.
- Proven track record in technical problem-solving and product/process development.
- Strong work ethic and meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with GD&T and engineering drawings.
- Experience with industrial tools and equipment is preferred.
- Background in aerospace/high-temperature composites, textiles, or industrial engineering systems is advantageous.
- Exposure to automated and/or robotic systems.
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles is desirable.
- Interest and understanding of composites and ceramics, or general material science is preferred.
