Overview

Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking a highly skilled Survey Senior Project Manager to join its team in Biddeford, ME. Our Survey/Geospatial team offers a comprehensive range of survey and geospatial data and mapping services that enable us to collect data faster, safer, and more accurately than ever before.

We collect data from the air, ground, and subsurface to provide precision data interpretation, accelerating your success and helping you become tomorrow's industry leader.

Responsibilities
  1. Develop effective work plans and man-hour budgets for approval by Department Manager.
  2. Monitor time schedules and capital cost budgets on projects to satisfy clients and control work and productivity.
  3. Prepare advanced engineering designs and/or technical data for completion and accuracy.
  4. Ensure quality control/quality assurance processes on all assigned projects.
  5. Oversee work and productivity on assigned projects.
  6. Strive to achieve predetermined goals for profit, productivity targets, and schedule of deliverables.
  7. Participate in formulating and coordinating proposals and provide other Marketing support, including Business Development.
  8. Identify project teams, work packages, and tasks, evaluation methods, productivity targets, schedule of deliverables, and manpower needed on projects.
  9. Hold team meetings to ensure procedures governing review and approval of projects are followed prior to submission of completed work.
  10. Negotiate with clients on any scope changes relative to project budgets and schedules subject to supervisors' approval.
  11. Coordinate and communicate effectively with all employees involved in the project to ensure high utilization rates.
  12. Ensure everyone involved is working in accordance with all project planning and profit control procedures.
  13. Ensure that all scope revisions affecting the project schedule and/or budget are discussed with the client.
  14. Ensure that all out-of-scope work and associated fees are approved by the client prior to performing the services.
  15. Solicit help and involvement from Department Managers and any other managers to troubleshoot any technical problems.
  16. Mentor junior staff in learning sound technical and business practices, and enhancing corporate objectives.
  17. Adhere to Health and Safety program and all applicable SOPs.
Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Surveying Technology, Civil Engineering Technology, or related field required.

10+ years of experience in Land Surveying required.

State of Maine Professional Land Surveyor License preferred.

Ability to generate revenue through existing client base and new business development preferred.

Ability to read, write, and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.
