Vascular Interventional Radiology Specialist

- Responsible for executing sterile invasive and diagnostic interventions, as well as administering contrast materials to specific anatomical regions as directed by healthcare providers, adhering to age-appropriate protocols.
- Collaborates effectively within a multidisciplinary team that may include licensed independent practitioners, nursing staff, specialized scheduling coordinators, and management personnel.
- Assists the radiologist throughout the entirety of the interventional radiology procedure.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Possesses an Associate degree in Radiologic Technology along with advanced certification in vascular imaging.
- Brings one to two years of relevant experience in Interventional Radiology within a clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of all interventional radiology examinations and the operation of related equipment.
- Understands anatomy and pathology and their implications on procedural quality.
- Possesses the ability to accurately bill and code procedures as necessary.
- Ensures all necessary supplies are available and organized in the procedure room prior to scheduled interventions, including any research-related studies.
- Delivers high-quality imaging with precision and efficiency.
Credentials and Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
- Must be a graduate from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- Advanced ARRT certification in Vascular Interventional Radiology (IV) is required within one year of employment.
- Current state RT license is essential.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
Flexibility to work varied schedules and be available for on-call duties is essential.
