About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to join the team at 0001 United Rentals (N A), Inc as a Fleet Technician II. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our mobile storage rental fleet equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on all Mobile Storage rental fleet equipment, including containers, ground level offices, office trailers, and modular buildings.
  • Quality Assurance: Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of Mobile Storage quality standards and ensure that all equipment is maintained to the highest standards.
  • Repair and Installation: Complete all or a combination of the following tasks: remove, repair, and install floors, tiles, roofs, walls, frames, doors, leaks, caulking, windows, screens, painting, filter/dampers, replacing skin, trim, tagging of equipment, or removal/install of UR decals and equipment numbers.
  • Electrical, Plumbing, and Welding Repairs: Competently perform basic electrical, plumbing, and/or welding repairs/modifications with minimal direction.
  • Customer Service: Travel to customer sites to set up office trailers and assist CDL A Drivers when needed.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Accurately record time and material used for proper work order completion and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Teamwork and Communication: Collaborate with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives, and communicate effectively with customers and internal stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience with basic electrical, plumbing, and/or welding repairs.
  • Skills: Basic verbal and written skills, construction knowledge and background, teamwork and customer service skills, demonstrated time management skills, ability to utilize required information technology, working knowledge of heavy equipment, tools, and manufacturers' warranty process.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 45 lbs.
