Job Title: Registered Nurse II
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse II to join our team at Northern Light Mercy Hospital. As a Registered Nurse II, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to assigned patients on a Nursing Unit, while also supervising and delegating patient care to other qualified staff members.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care to assigned patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
- Supervise and delegate patient care to other qualified staff members, ensuring that care is delivered in a safe and effective manner.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and achieve optimal outcomes.
- Participate in performance improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
- Develop and maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, families, and staff.
Requirements:
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse in the State of Maine.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- National certification in a relevant specialty.
- Experience working in a hospital setting.
- Knowledge of evidence-based practice and research.
Working Conditions:
- Lifting, moving, and loading 30 to 50 pounds.
- Alternate shift schedules (day, evening, nights, weekends).
Credentials:
- Registered Nurse.
- High School Diploma/General Educational Development (GED).
